Luke Gracias is an Indian-born Australian writer, filmmaker, and environmental specialist based in Melbourne. Originally from Mumbai, he holds a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the University of Melbourne and has over 25 years’ experience on major environmental projects across Australia and Asia.


Since 2006, he has worked in the screen industry, founding Instinct India and contributing to international and Bollywood productions in Australia. His passion for film and storytelling led him to blend environmental themes with cinematic suspense in his writing. His debut supernatural thriller The Devil’s Prayer, originally a film script, became a bestselling novel and Shadow Award finalist, followed by No Shadow Without Light, archived in the Vatican Libraries. His latest novel, Dogboy v Catfish, continues his distinctive mix of social, environmental, and supernatural storytelling.
