Fast paced book that draws the reader in. The interplay between present, recent past and history is well done and the historical research is exceptional.

if I honestly review this book, the superlative filled encomium will probably be longer than the book. suffice it to say that before i read this book, my thought was “Dan Brown has competition”. Now i think “Luke Gracias has competition”.

A must-read thriller, May 16, 2016 Amazon Customer
A stunning literary work, combining fact and fiction seamlessly, into a riveting narrative. The vivid description, the skilful moulding of the characters and the author’s poignant, poetic, philosophical reflections immerse the reader in the world of the story, making the book a page-turner and a masterpiece. Luke Gracias’ stunning debut novel clearly establishes him as a master storyteller.

Gripping Great Read, May 15, 2016 Kevin L
I rarely read this genre, but I am pleasantly surprised by the level of detail put in by the author regarding the supernatural and occult. At times, it’s difficult to separate fact for fiction, and it came to a point where I stopped trying – because everything else is so good! I dare say this is one of those books just waiting to be made into a movie.

Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! What a book!!!, 13 May 2016 Brendan Riley
A great story, that makes you wonder if this could happen or did happen. And the ending is mind blowing!!! Screaming to be made into a TV series. I may just sell my soul to see it happen. Buy this book!!!
The Devils Prayer, May 13, 2016 donna
Absolutely loved this book, could not put it down. For a first time writer, Luke Gracias has you spellbound from the very start of the book and does not let you go. With a fabulous mix of history and fiction, The Devils Prayer is well researched and leaves you wanting more. Cannot wait for the next instalment!

The Devil’s Prayer is a fast-paced, brilliant thriller that literally begins with a bang and never lets up. While the religious overtones of the novel might not resonate with all readers, the quality of the writing is so good that the protagonist’s inner turmoil and moral struggle will truly appeal to nearly everyone. The story has been well researched and written so well that it was difficult to find faults. No doubt, Luke Gracias seems to be another Dan Brown in making. The Devil’s Prayer is a fantastic read, likely the first of many noteworthy novels by an extraordinary writer Luke Gracias.
Wonderful read!, 27 March 2016 Jigar Doshi
Historical fiction meets super-natural horror meets suspense thriller. Fast-paced, racy, keeps you on the edge of your seat, full of twists and turns.
Consequences of dealing with devil, an intriguing story!, March 11, 2016

The devil’s prayer is an engrossing fiction about the life of a nun, Denise Russo, and her deal with the devil for executing the people who had betrayed, tortured and nearly killed her. The book is amazing in the respect of the description of various monasteries, their architecture and history of the Europe of thirteenth century. After reading this book, I can say that this is a well-researched and well written book that will keep you guessing till the last page.

It’s one hell of a read, which kept me gripped from one suspense-filled page to the other. Well-researched, fast-paced and packed with ingenious twists, this is one fresh and most welcome voice in the horror genre.
If you liked “The DaVinci Code”, you will love “The Devil’s Prayer”, February 21, 2016 Tej K. Singh
The story starts with a bang, leaving the reader very curious as to why a nun acted the way she did. The story moves on to give a brilliant narration of events that explain her actions. At each point I was eager to find out what happens next. Reading late into the night, it was a struggle getting to office the next day. Really enjoyed the riveting thriller with the background history so well entwined that it’s impossible to tell fiction from fact! Looking forward to the sequel or movie with this story.
I highly recommend this book, February 19, 2016 Jacques
With a unique twist on the Faustian tale of dealing with the Devil, “The Devil’s Prayer” had me hooked within the first couple of pages all the way to the ending’s shattering revelation. A mix between The Omen and The Da Vinci Code, I highly recommend this book!

Luke has unleashed the combined power of history, science and supernatural elements on his readers through his very first book. At the same time he has managed to maintain the language and flow in a manner that the readers feel related to the main character of Siobhan in every manner. Chillingly beautiful. The story is hauntingly mesmerizing with its ability to evoke a range of emotions, from a thrilling suspense, to its gruesome and terrifying scenes of evil that have you shaking with fear. A masterpiece of writing, this book sure runs chills up my spine. Can’t wait for another – couldn’t think of anything else for a couple of days. A real page-turner.
